Roll n’ Scoop Ice Cream: Costa Mesa

You may have seen this rolling technique for Ice cream on Instagram or have tried it yourself. I finally found a place in Huntington Beach that makes it! It’s called Roll n’ Scoop. What sets this ice cream apart from others is how it is made. You first choose your flavor and any toppings you want mixed in (1st topping=free), then they pour it out onto a cold metal sheet. Once it starts to thicken they mix it with these metal paddles until it becomes more solid. The ice cream is then flattened out and rolled into five pieces, which are put in your bowl and topped with whipped cream.

Capsule Packing

This past year I have been using a new technique for packing called capsules. If you are not familiar with capsules they help you pack light, but at the same time give you many outfits. For example, instead of choosing four sweaters and five pairs of pants you would choose two sweaters and one pair of pants. It helps prevent you from overpacking (which I tend to do a lot) and makes traveling easier. Here are some simple steps to follow when creating your personal capsule.

Summer Goals: 2018

I am officially in summer! I almost forgot how freeing it feels to have no homework and no deadlines. Every summer I come up with some goals and I always forget about them and waste my summer watching Netflix or being lazy. This summer I want to be more purposeful and stick to my goals. So In this post I’m going to list my goals and do a follow up post at the end of summer and see how well I stuck to it. This is pretty much an accountability sheet for me and hopefully encourages you to do the same.
